RULES

Eligibility

  • Participants must be registered for the Friday session of Data in the D 2026 and attend in person.
  • Participants must be 18 or older.
  • Snowflake employees may participate but are not eligible for prizes.

Teams

  • Work solo or in teams of up to 4.
  • Each participant may join only one team. Each team may submit to only one track.

Project rules

  • All work must be done during the event (12:00 PM – 5 PM ET, October 16, 2026). You can plan ideas in advance, but you can't bring pre-written code. Open-source libraries and public APIs are allowed.
  • Projects must be built on the Snowflake account provided for the event.
  • Use only data you have the right to use. Do not upload confidential, regulated, or personal data from your employer.
  • Late submissions will not be judged.

Judging
Track judges score projects using the criteria on the Submission Requirements tab. Judges' decisions are final.

Intellectual property
Your team owns what it builds. By submitting, you give Snowflake and Data in the D permission to show your project name, description, and screenshots in promotional materials about the event.

 

Code of conduct
All participants are expected to be respectful and inclusive. Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated, and organizers may remove anyone who violates this policy. Report concerns to any organizer on site or to [email protected].
